Prohibition or restriction signs
The prohibition or restriction signs, generally, have a round shape, with the border of red colour in which, on a white background, different symbols of black colour are shown.
The meaning of the prohibition or restriction signs begins at the signs. In the absence of a signalling that specifies the length of the sector on which the regulation applies or of some signs that announce the end of the prohibition or of the restriction, the meaning of these signs ends in the nearest intersection.
When the prohibition or restriction signs are installed together with the sign that announces the entry into an urban area, their meaning is valid on the respective road until encountering the sign "Exit from the urban area", except for the places where other signs provide otherwise (art. 66 paragraph 6 of the Regulation).
