“Overtaking motor vehicles, except motorcycles without sidecar, prohibited”
This sign prohibits the drivers of motor vehicles from performing the overtaking maneuver of motor vehicles, except motorcycles without sidecar and mopeds, which may be overtaken. Considering that this prohibits performing the overtaking maneuver of motor vehicles, the overtaking of simple vehicles is not prohibited, thus overtaking bicycles, electric scooters, animal-drawn vehicles and vehicles pulled or pushed by hand is allowed.
At the ends of the road section on which overtaking any motor vehicle is prohibited for motor vehicles, except motorcycles without sidecar and mopeds. The end of the section with overtaking prohibited is signalled with the sign “End of the overtaking prohibition”.
If on the road section there are also other restrictions imposed by signs, the end of the section with overtaking prohibited may also be signalled with the sign “End of all restrictions”.
If none of the signs “End of the overtaking prohibition” and “End of all restrictions” are installed, the road section with overtaking prohibited ends at the first intersection.
Regulation** - Article 66
(6) The meaning of prohibition or restriction signs begins at their position. In the absence of a signalling that specifies the length of the section on which the regulation applies or of signs announcing the end of the prohibition or restriction, the meaning of these signs ends in the nearest intersection. When prohibition or restriction signs are installed together with the sign announcing the entrance into a locality, their meaning is valid on that road until encountering the sign “Exit from locality”, except in places where other signs provide otherwise.
On the road section on which the overtaking maneuver is prohibited, the maneuvers of stopping, waiting, U-turn and moving in reverse are also prohibited.
