“No overtaking for motor vehicles intended for the transport of goods”
This sign prohibits the drivers of motor vehicles for the transport of goods from performing the overtaking maneuver.
At the ends of the road section on which motor vehicles for the transport of goods are prohibited from performing the overtaking maneuver. The end of the section with overtaking prohibited is signalled with the sign “End of overtaking prohibition”.
If on the road section there are also other restrictions imposed by signs, the end of the section with overtaking prohibited may also be signalled with the sign “End of all restrictions”.
If neither of the signs “End of overtaking prohibition” and “End of all restrictions” are installed, the road section with overtaking prohibited ends at the first intersection.
Regulation** - Article 66
(6) The meaning of signs of prohibition or restriction begins at their position. In the absence of a signalling indicating the length of the section on which the regulation applies or of signs announcing the end of the prohibition or restriction, the meaning of these signs ends in the nearest intersection. When the signs of prohibition or restriction are installed together with the sign announcing the entry into a locality, their meaning is valid on the respective road until encountering the sign “Exit from the locality”, except for places where other signs provide otherwise.
On the road section on which the overtaking maneuver is prohibited, the maneuvers of stopping, waiting, U-turn and moving in reverse are also prohibited. Even if this sign is addressed only to those who drive motor vehicles for the transport of goods, the prohibition of the maneuvers of stopping, waiting, U-turn and moving in reverse is valid for all drivers of vehicles, including for cars, motorcycles and mopeds.
