Starting from February 2, 2023, through Law 385/2022, an exception was created from the minimum age from which the driving licence for categories C, CE can be obtained.
Until recently, those who want to obtain categories C or CE could do so only after reaching the age of 21 years. However, following legislative changes, applicable from February 2, 2023, they can do so starting from the age of 18 years. This change is treated as an exception from the general rule regarding the minimum age of 21 years, and on the driving licence obtained through this age exception the national code 100 will be entered, which allows driving motor vehicles from this category only for the purpose of training and examination for obtaining the professional certificate CPI (Professional Certificate for Freight Transport Drivers CPI).
In short, the procedure is as follows:
The professional certificates CPI are issued by the Romanian Road Authority (ARR). You can study for obtaining the professional certificates from the application ARR Atestate or from the website www.arr-atestate.ro in the category Freight Transport Drivers CPI.
