“Additional panels for the level crossing with the railway”
These additional panels are found near a level crossing with a current railway for the purpose of warning you that you are about to encounter a level crossing with a railway at a distance of 150 meters from the panel with 3 stripes, 100 meters from the panel with 2 stripes or 50 meters from the panel with one stripe.
When you encounter the panel with three stripes it means that you are 150 meters from the level crossing with a railway and you are obliged to show increased caution and to drive with reduced speed. When you encounter the panel with a single stripe it means that you are 50 meters from the level crossing with a railway and You are prohibited from performing any maneuver (overtaking, stopping, waiting, moving in reverse, U-turn).
Near a level crossing with a railway, at the following distances from the barrier or, in its absence, from the nearest rail:
In the situation where the placement of the panels results inside a curve or in areas lacking visibility, they must be repeated also on the left side of the road, including the signs “Level crossing with a railway with barriers or semi-barriers” or “Level crossing with a railway without barriers”. Regardless of the side of the road where they are installed, the inclined stripes of the panels must be descending towards the carriageway.
They are not installed at level crossings with industrial railways.
In the urban area, where the situation does not allow all 3 panels to be installed, only the panel with a single stripe may be found installed, at 50 meters from the railway.
