The road signs on a yellow background have a temporary character and are encountered on the road sections where works are carried out on the carriageway.
The sign in the image is placed at 100-200 meters from the place where the road section begins to narrow on the left side (by at least half a meter).
When encountering this sign, the driver is obliged to reduce the speed, and the maneuvers of stopping, waiting, moving in reverse and U-turning are prohibited. The maneuver of overtaking is allowed, but due to the narrowing of the road, there is enough lateral space only for overtaking bicycles, mopeds or motorcycles without a sidecar.
In the case where the lane you are driving on narrows so much that you must enter another traffic lane, you must give priority to those on the lane you want to enter. Priority will be given to the one whose lane does not narrow.
On the narrowed road sections, where two vehicles do not have enough space to move one next to the other, the priority will be regulated by the signs “Priority over oncoming traffic” and “Priority to oncoming traffic”.
