Hello! In this article we will talk about an aspect that most people do not think about when it comes to safe driving, this being the driving position.

Adjusting the driving position before setting off is essential, therefore, we must take this aspect seriously and sit in the seat properly. Most cars are equipped with adjustable seats down to the smallest detail, so I do not see what reasons we would have not to do it.

The position at the steering wheel influences physical comfort, but more importantly, it influences how well you will perform the things you need at the optimal moment, also how well you will be able to see inside or outside the car and the way your overall concentration will be affected over time.

Everyone has their own optimal driving position and you should find out what your optimal position is and what is best for you taking into account the basic principles:

• First make sure that you sit straight, which will help you see the road and the dimensions of the car.
• Try to sit at a safe distance from the airbag, but make sure that you reach the pedals and the gear lever.
• It is good to have your arms and legs slightly bent, this position is more comfortable and will help you not to get tired on long trips.
• You must know that most cars have seats but also adjustable steering wheels and of course, make sure that you always wear the seat belt.
