Dangerous descent

Name:

“Dangerous descent”

Meaning (important information):

This sign warns you that a downhill road section follows, with a steep inclination, in this case an inclination of 10% (over a distance of 100 meters the road level drops by 10 meters).

Location (additional information):

At the beginning of a slope with an inclination of at least 7%. The real maximum slope is written, rounded up to whole numbers, regardless of whether this maximum is at the beginning, at the end, or in an intermediate position along the descent.

Being a warning sign, the placement of this sign is done at a distance of a maximum of 50 meters before the dangerous place, in the urban area, or at a distance between 100 and 250 meters before the dangerous place, outside built-up area.

Other useful information (additional information):

It must be known that road legislation prohibits the maneuver of waiting along the entire length of the slope. At the top of the slope, when visibility is reduced below 50 meters, road legislation prohibits all maneuvers.
