Curve to the left

Name:

“Curve to the left”

Meaning (important information):

This sign warns you that a curve to the left follows.

Placement (additional information):

Being a warning sign, its placement is made at a distance of maximum 50 meters before the dangerous place, in the urban area or at a distance between 100 and 250 meters before the dangerous place, outside the urban area.

Before entering curves that meet one of the following conditions:
  • radius < 600 m and the bisector > R / 15;
  • the visibility distance is < 150 m.
Other useful information (additional information):

If the curve is signalled as being a particularly dangerous curve (signalling which is carried out by the sign “Particularly dangerous curve”) or if the visibility in the curve is less than 50 meters, the road legislation imposes the obligation to drive at a speed that does not exceed 30 km/h in the urban area or 50 km/h outside the urban area. If the visibility in the curve is less than 50 meters, besides the obligation regarding the travel speed, the road legislation also imposes the prohibition of performing all maneuvers (overtaking, stopping, waiting, moving in reverse and U-turn).
