"Children"

Meaning (important information):

This sign warns you that you are about to encounter a place frequented by children, such as schools, kindergartens, playgrounds, parks, etc. It is recommended to increase attention in order to be able to stop safely in case of the unexpected appearance of children on the carriageway.

The road legislation obliges the drivers of vehicles who encounter the "Children" sign to drive with a speed that does not exceed 30 km/h in the urban area or 50 km/h outside built-up area between 7:00 - 22:00.

Near places particularly frequented by children: schools, playgrounds, etc.

Being a warning sign, the placement of this sign is done at a distance of maximum 50 meters before the dangerous place, in the urban area, or at a distance between 100 and 250 meters before the dangerous place, outside built-up area.

The driver of a vehicle is obliged to drive with a speed that does not exceed 30 km/h in the urban area or 50 km/h outside built-up area, in the following situations:
g) in the action area of the warning sign "Children" between 7:00-22:00, as well as of the "Accident" sign;
