Stop

It is placed on the public road without priority, where the entry position is without visibility (buildings, trees, etc.). The driver of the vehicle is obliged to stop, regardless of whether other vehicles are moving on the priority road or not. He may pass the sign, in order to reach the place with maximum visibility but without entering the intersection.

After the complete stopping of the vehicle, if no other vehicles are moving to which he must give priority, he may continue his movement. If other vehicles are moving to which he must give priority, he gives them priority, after which he may continue his movement.

If the traffic sign is accompanied by a Transversal marking for stop, the driver of the vehicle will perform the stop before the transversal marking with continuous line.

This sign may be accompanied by the additional panel “Direction of the priority road'” which specifies the direction of the priority road by a thickened black line.
