“Straight ahead”

Meaning (important information):

This sign obliges the drivers of vehicles to travel only straight ahead in the intersection in front of which it is installed, being prohibited the change of the direction of travel to the right or to the left.

Placement (additional information):

At no more than 15 m before the intersection in which the direction indicated by the arrow is mandatory. If the meaning of the sign applies only to one of the traffic lanes, it is installed above that lane.

Other useful information (additional information):

This sign acts only in the intersection in front of which it is installed. At the next intersections respect the meaning of the road signalling in that place.

In the intersection in front of which this sign is installed is prohibited the U-turn maneuver. (Art. 126 letter b) of the Regulation)

Is prohibited the U-turn of the vehicle:
b) in the intersections where the left turn is prohibited, as well as in those where, for performing it, the maneuvering forward and backward of the vehicle is necessary;

In the intersection in front of which this sign is installed is prohibited the maneuver of moving in reverse, because this maneuver is prohibited in the intersections where the left turn is prohibited. (Art. 128 paragraph (1) letter a) of the Regulation)
