PENALIZING THE MISTAKES COMMITTED BY THE CANDIDATE. (PENALTY POINTS). Applied for the non‑observance of road rules / the non‑execution or incorrect execution of the indicated maneuvers. At the practical exam each mistake receives a number of penalty points, if 21 penalty points are accumulated on the route, the candidate is failed.

Category B (B, B1)

I. PREPARATION AND TECHNICAL CHECK OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE / THE COMBINATION

- the failure to check, through the dashboard equipment or the controls of the motor vehicle, the functioning of the steering, the brake, the lubrication / cooling system, the lights, the signalling and the horn;-3p
- the failure to adjust the seat, the rear‑view mirrors, the failure to fasten the seat belt, the failure to release the parking brake;-3p
- the lack of knowledge of the dashboard equipment or the controls of the motor vehicle.-3p
 

II. BEHAVIOUR IN TRAFFIC

MANEUVERING AND POSITION OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE DURING DRIVING

- the lack of synchronization of the controls (stopping the engine, excessive acceleration, incorrect use of the gear ratios);-5p
- the failure to maintain the direction of travel;-9p
- the incorrect use of the road with or without markings;-6p
- the incorrect maneuvering when meeting other vehicles, including in restricted spaces;-6p
- the incorrect turning on a street with several traffic lanes on the direction;-5p
- the incorrect maneuvering when climbing ramps / descending long slopes, when driving in tunnels;-5p
- the incorrect use of the dipped beam / the high beam lights;-3p
- driving in an uneconomical and environmentally aggressive way (excessive engine speed, unjustified braking / acceleration);-5p

SPECIAL MANEUVERS REGARDING TRAFFIC SAFETY

- the incorrect execution of moving in reverse;-5p
- the incorrect execution of turning the vehicle with the front in the opposite direction by performing the maneuvers of moving forward and backward;-5p
- the incorrect execution of parking with the front, the rear or sideways;-5p
- the incorrect execution of precision braking;-5p

CHANGING THE DIRECTION OF TRAVEL AND PERFORMING TURNS

- the failure to ensure when changing the direction of travel / when leaving the place of waiting;-9p
- the irregular execution of turns;-6p
- the failure to signal or incorrect signalling of the change in the direction of travel.-6p

DRIVING IN INTERSECTIONS, POSITIONS DURING DRIVING

- the improper positioning according to the indicated direction of travel;-6p
- performing prohibited maneuvers (stopping, waiting, turning, moving in reverse);-6p
- the failure to ensure when entering intersections;-9p
- the incorrect use of lanes when entering / exiting on / from the motorway / similar roads;-5p
- the failure to keep sufficient distance from those who are driving ahead or are coming from the opposite direction. - 9p

OVERTAKING

- repeated hesitation to overtake other vehicles;-3p
- the non‑observance of the rules for performing overtaking or performing it in prohibited places and situations.-21p

PRIORITY

- the failure to give priority to vehicles and pedestrians who have this right (when starting from the place, in intersections, roundabout, bus stop with bay, tram station without pedestrian refuge, pedestrian crossing);-21p
- repeated tendencies to give way to vehicles and pedestrians who do not have priority;-6p

NON‑OBSERVANCE OF THE MEANING OF SIGNS AND ROAD SIGNALLING DEVICES

- the non‑observance of the meaning of signs / markings / the colours of the traffic light (except the red colour);-9p
- the non‑observance of the meaning of the red colour of the traffic light / the signals of the traffic police officer / the signals of other persons with similar legal duties.-21p

SPEED

- exceeding the maximum permitted speed;-5p
- driving with unjustifiably reduced speed, the failure to fit the pace imposed by the other road users.-3p

DRIVING IN UNFAVOURABLE WEATHER

- lack of skill in driving in conditions of rain, snow, slush, ice;-9p
- driving with speed not adapted to the atmospheric and road conditions;-9p

NON‑OBSERVANCE OF LEGAL RULES AT LEVEL CROSSINGS WITH THE RAILWAY.-21p

III. OTHER SITUATIONS LEADING TO THE AWARD OF THE “FAILED” GRADE

- presenting at the exam under the influence of alcoholic beverages, substances or narcotic products, of medicines with similar effects or manifestations likely to disturb the examination of the other candidates;-21p
- the intervention of the examiner to avoid an imminent danger / the occurrence of a traffic event.-21p

 

Category BE

I. PREPARATION AND TECHNICAL CHECK OF THE MOTOR VEHICLE / THE COMBINATION

- the failure to check, through the dashboard equipment or the controls of the motor vehicle, the functioning of the steering, the brake, the lubrication / cooling system, the lights, the signalling and the horn;-3p
- the failure to check the coupling device and the connections of the braking / electrical system of the reflectors;-9p
- the failure to check the safety elements related to the vehicle’s load, fastening, closing doors / tailgates;-9p
- the failure to adjust the seat, the rear‑view mirrors, the failure to fasten the seat belt, the failure to release the parking brake;-3p
- the lack of knowledge of the dashboard equipment or the controls of the motor vehicle.-3p
