Explanation

To be kept in circulation, the vehicles registered or recorded are subject to the periodic technical inspection (ITP). This inspection is carried out in stations authorized by the Romanian Auto Registry (RAR) or at the RAR representatives.

For motor vehicles, the periodic technical inspection (ITP) is carried out at different time intervals depending on its type.

For example:

  • for cars (at most 8 seats, plus the driver’s seat (8+1)) it will be carried out every two years, respectively every one year in the case of those that have an age greater than 12 years;
  • for tractors having a maximum authorized total mass greater than 3,500 kg every one year;
  • for tractors having a maximum authorized total mass that does not exceed 3,500 kg every two years.

Therefore, from the examples above it results that the inspection is carried out at different time intervals, according to the law. Consult the reference articles below for more details!

It must be known that from the obligation to carry out the periodic technical inspection (ITP) are exempted the self-propelled machines with a maximum constructive speed of at most 25 km/h, the motor vehicles with tracks, the trams and the animal-drawn vehicles.

The correct answer is: B
