Question 384 of 554

How do the drivers of motor vehicles, agricultural tractors, forestry tractors and trams signal the intention to change direction, to exit or enter a row of stationary vehicles, to change lane, to turn right or left, to make a U-turn, to overtake or to stop:

A by activating the direction indicator lights at least 75 m in the urban area and 150 m outside built-up area before starting to perform the maneuvers;
B by activating the direction indicator lights at least 50 m in the urban area and 100 m outside built-up area simultaneously with starting to perform the maneuvers;
C by activating the direction indicator lights at least 50 m in the urban area and 100 m outside built-up area before starting to perform the maneuvers.

Explanation

The intention of the drivers of motor vehicles to perform the maneuver of overtaking is signalled by activating the direction indicator lights at least 50 meters in the urban area and 100 meters outside built-up area, before starting to perform the maneuver.

The distance of at least 50 meters in the urban area signifies the distance between the place where we signal the intention to perform the maneuver and the place where the maneuver is started, meaning the distance travelled with the indicator functioning until you start performing the maneuver.

The correct answer is: C
