Explanation

Overtaking is the maneuver by which a vehicle passes ahead of another vehicle or alongside an obstacle, located on the same direction of travel, by changing the direction of travel and leaving the lane of travel or the row of vehicles in which it has been initially. [OUG* Art. 45 paragraph (1)]

TO REMEMBER:

  1. Whether we want to pass ahead of another vehicle located on the same direction, or we want to bypass an obstacle on the carriageway located on the same direction, it is still called overtaking;
  2. Whether we pass over the marking that separates the directions of travel and enter the opposite direction, or we do not pass over the marking that separates the directions of travel and remain on the same direction, it is still called overtaking.

The correct answer is: B
