(1) In the situation in which the driver of the motor vehicle, agricultural or forestry tractor or tram, stopped in traffic for breaching a traffic rule, does not have on him any identity document and neither the driving license, the traffic police officer must escort him to the nearest police unit for establishing his identity and for checking in the records the situation of the driving license, when there is no possibility of carrying out these checks on the spot.
