Explanation

At the level crossings with the current railway provided with barriers the driver of a vehicle has the following obligations:

  • to show increased prudence, to drive with reduced speed and to make sure that from the left side or from the right side no railway vehicle is approaching;
  • if the barriers/half-barriers are lowered, in the process of lowering or raising, is obliged to stop, in the order of arrival, before the barriers/half-barriers.

Therefore, at the level crossing with the railway, when the barriers are raised, the driver of a vehicle must reduce speed and cross carefully, making sure that from the left side or from the right side no railway vehicle is approaching.
