In the situation in which you encounter a school bus that stops, regardless of whether it has or not the hazard warning lights on, you must move with increased attention because children are unpredictable and can cross without making sure.
The road traffic legislation in Romania does not oblige stopping in this situation. If the driver of the school bus activates the hazard warning lights, he does it to warn that the respective situation constitutes a danger for the traffic participants, and from the point of view of preventive driving it is recommended reducing the speed and increasing the attention.
