Art. 60.
(1) Traffic participants must show increased caution when approaching and crossing current or industrial railway lines, as the case may be.
(2) At the level crossing with a current railway, provided with barriers or semi-barriers, the drivers of vehicles are obliged to stop at the sign that obliges stopping, if these are in the process of lowering or in a horizontal position and/or the sound and light signals that announce the approaching train are functioning.
(3) At the level crossing with an industrial railway, appropriately signalled, the drivers of vehicles are obliged to comply with the meaning of the signals of the railway agent.
 
Art. 89.
(1) The stopping of traffic participants is mandatory also at the signals given by:
     a) border police officers;
     b) traffic instructors of the Ministry of Defense;
     c) railway agents, at level crossings;
     d) authorized personnel in the area of works on public roads;
     e) members of school traffic patrols, at pedestrian crossings near educational institutions;
     f) blind persons, by raising the white cane, when they cross the street.
(2) The persons provided in paragraph (1) letters a) – d) may also perform the following signals:
     a) the swinging of the arm in the vertical plane, with the palm of the hand oriented towards the ground or with a means of signalling, which signifies the reduction of speed;
     b) the brisk rotation of the arm, which signifies the increase of the speed of movement of vehicles, including the hastening of the crossing of the road by pedestrians;
