The drivers of motor vehicles or trams are prohibited from using mobile phones, when they are in motion, an exception from this prohibition is made by the situations in which the mobile phones are equipped with “hands-free” devices. They are also prohibited from transporting persons under the influence of alcoholic drinks.

It is not prohibited to change the gear ratios in curves.

Art. 36.

(1) The drivers of motor vehicles and the persons who occupy seats provided by construction with homologated belts or safety devices must wear them during the circulation on public roads, with the exception of the cases provided in the regulation.

(2) During the movement on public roads, the drivers of motorcycles, mopeds and the persons transported on them have the obligation to wear the homologated protective helmet.

(3) The drivers of vehicles are prohibited from using mobile phones when they are in motion, except those equipped with “hands-free” devices.

Art. 148. – Is prohibited the driver of the motor vehicle or tram:

1. To drive a motor vehicle or tram with the substitute proof of the driving licence issued without the right of circulation or whose validity has expired;

2. To transport in the motor vehicle or tram more persons than the number of seats established in the registration or enrolment certificate.

3. To transport persons in a state of drunkenness on the motorcycle or in the cabin or in the body of the motor vehicle intended for the transport of goods.

4. To transport persons in the body of the dump truck, on the tanker truck, on the platform, above the load, on the lateral parts of the body, or persons who stand upright in the body of the truck, on stairs and in the trailer, except the one specially designated for the transport of persons.
