At night or in reduced visibility conditions, the drivers of motor vehicles, agricultural or forestry tractors and trams that approach an intersection not controlled by traffic lights or by a traffic police officer are obliged to signal by alternating the low beam with the high beam. But in the situation in which from the opposite direction another vehicle moves in compliance with the traffic rules at a distance less than 200 m, this type of signalling can no longer be performed, because in this way you dazzle with the light of the headlights the driver of the vehicle that approaches.
The use of the high beam (long beam) is prohibited when from the opposite direction a vehicle approaches at a distance less than 200 meters. Thus, when encountering the vehicles that move in compliance with the traffic rules from the opposite direction or at the signalling of the drivers of motor vehicles who have engaged in a dangerous overtaking, the repeated change of the high beam with the low beam is prohibited.
