OUG = GOVERNMENT EMERGENCY ORDINANCE no. 195 of December 12, 2002 (Road Traffic Code)
Regulation = REGULATION for the implementation of OUG 195/2002 (Road Traffic Code Regulation)
The driver of a vehicle is obliged to drive with a speed that does not exceed 30 km/h in the urban area or 50 km/h outside built-up area, in the following situations:
b) in particularly dangerous curves signalled as such or in which visibility is less than 50 m;
If you cannot/do not want to watch the AUDIO-VIDEO version of the course, you can read the text version illustrated with images.

The road in a curve is the bend of the public road in the shape of an arc of a circle that connects two segments of road in alignment.

The curves are signalled with the warning signs “Left curve”, “Right curve”, “Double curve or a succession of more than two curves, the first to the left” or “Double curve or a succession of more than two curves, the first to the right”

When encountering these signs you do not have the obligation to reduce the travelling speed but reduction of speed and driving with caution is recommended, for the purpose of preventive driving.
In the curves lacking visibility, all manoeuvres (overtaking, stopping, waiting, moving in reverse, U-turn) are prohibited.
The particularly dangerous curves are signalled with the warning sign “Particularly dangerous curve” and with “Successive panels for particularly dangerous curves”.

When encountering these signs, all manoeuvres (overtaking, stopping, waiting, moving in reverse and U-turn) are prohibited.
In the particularly dangerous curves and in those in which visibility is reduced below 50 meters, you are obliged to reduce the travelling speed down to 30 km/h in the urban area and 50 km/h outside built-up area (art. 123 letter b of the Regulation).
