When does the driving school expire?

The driving school is valid for 12 months. More precisely, this validity of the driving school refers to the validity of the training sheet that is issued at the completion of the driving school courses and on which the date on which it was issued is written. The validity of the training sheet, implicitly of the driving school, is 12 months from the date of issuance.

If during the 12 months of validity you do not manage to pass both exams for obtaining the driving licence, taken at SPCRCIV (Public Community Service for driving licences and vehicle registration), you must redo the driving school, including the practical training, after which a new file for examination will be prepared.

The validity of the rest of the documents in the file for the licence:

• the psychological opinion and the medical opinion are valid for 1 year from the date of performance (the medical opinion is recorded by the driving school in the training sheet);
• the criminal record is valid for 6 months from the date of issuance;
• the fee for the licence (the one of 89 lei) has no validity. If within one year, as long as the training file is valid, you do not pass the driving test, the fee can be used for a new file.
