The prohibition of waiting

Name:

“The prohibition of waiting”

Meaning (important information):

The marking formed of a zigzag line applied on the edge of the carriageway prohibits waiting on the section of road on which it is applied.

Other useful information (additional information):

This marking prohibits the maneuver of waiting, it does not also prohibit the maneuver of stopping. The marking made of a zigzag line must not be confused with the marking for bus, trolleybus, taxi stations or tram stations that are not provided with a refuge for pedestrians which have, in addition to the zigzag line, also the inscription “Bus”, “Taxi” or “Tram”, on these both the maneuver of waiting and the maneuver of stopping are prohibited.

In conclusion, if the marking made of a zigzag line is not completed by one of the inscriptions “Bus”, “Taxi” or “Tram”, only waiting is prohibited, not stopping.
