It is encountered before a level crossing with a simple railway, without barriers, which is provided with luminous and sound signals.

The simultaneous lighting of the luminous signal of the red colour and of the sound one signifies the approach of the train. In this case, the driver is obliged to stop, without passing the sign.

Besides the luminous signal of the red colour, the road sign is also provided with a signal of the white colour with slow cadence, which allows the crossing over the railway.
