In the case of driving on public roads a vehicle with defects in the steering mechanism, the registration certificate is retained, and the following sanctions also apply:

  • in the case where it is about major deficienciesthe contravention fine provided in the third class of sanctions is applied;
  • in the case where it is about dangerous (grave) deficienciesthe contravention fine provided in the fourth class of sanctions is applied and the driving licence is retained for the purpose of suspending the exercise of the right to drive for a period of 90 days, a substitute proof with right of circulation for a period of 15 days is issued and the vehicle is immobilised.

For answer  B 

Indeed, for this act a contravention fine applies, but in addition to this the sanctions and measures listed at answer A also apply. Therefore, answer B cannot be correct.
