Road legislation does not expressly prohibit excessive revving of the engine when starting from a standstill with the vehicle. However, if this revving is produced intentionally by repeatedly accelerating the engine, in a manner likely to bother the persons located in the area of the public road it falls under aggressive driving and is prohibited according to Article 54^1 paragraph (2) letter i) of OUG 195/2002 (posted below).

(2) The signalling of the change of direction of travel must be maintained throughout the entire duration of the maneuver.

(1) The drivers of vehicles are obliged to signal the change of direction of travel, overtaking, stopping and putting into motion.

The driver of a vehicle is obliged to give priority also in the following situations:

f) when putting into motion or when entering the public road coming from an adjacent property in relation to the vehicle that travels on the public road, regardless of its direction of travel;
