Question 712 of 802

Which of the three vehicles do not have priority of passage?

A the car and the bus;
B the bus and the truck;
C the truck and the car.

Explanation

Attention! In this question it is asked to state which of the vehicles DO NOT have priority of passage.

The intersection in the image is controlled with regulatory priority signs, under each sign there is installed an additional panel indicating the direction of the priority road.

The truck comes from the road without priority, encountering the sign “Give way”, and must give priority to the bus and the car which come from the priority road.

The bus and the car encounter the sign “Priority road”. The bus wants to continue to drive in the direction of the priority road. The car wants to drive straight ahead, thus leaving the priority road. Considering that one of the two vehicles will leave the priority road, they will intersect their trajectories and cannot pass at the same time, thus creating an equality situation. In this situation the rule of priority to the right will apply and the car will give priority of passage to the bus, because it comes from the right side of the car.

Therefore, in this situation the truck and the car do not have priority of passage, and the one that has priority of passage at this moment is the bus, which will pass first through this intersection.

The correct answer is: C
