Exceeding by more than 20 km/h the maximum permitted speed, whether or not this is done repeatedly, is sanctioned with a contravention fine and with the application of penalty points, depending on the value by which the maximum speed limit was exceeded.
The sanctioning with the suspension of the exercise of the right to drive for a period of 90 or 120 days and with the contravention fine provided in class IV of sanctions is applied for exceeding the maximum permitted speed by more than 50 km/h respectively by more than 70 km/h.
Failure to stop or failure to respect the meaning of the regulatory signals of the railway traffic police officers who direct the traffic at the level crossings with the railway is sanctioned with the fine provided in class IV of sanctions and with the application of 6 penalty points. For this contravention the suspension of the exercise of the right to drive is not applied.
The exercise of the right to drive is suspended for a period of 30 days, plus the fine provided in class II of sanctions, in the case of failure to present within 24 hours at the police unit competent in the area where a traffic accident occurred from which only the damaging of the vehicle resulted (accident without victims).
From this obligation to present oneself at the police unit competent in the area where the accident occurred within no more than 24 hours from the occurrence of the event, the road legislation provides the following exceptions:
