Question 625 of 802

Which of the drivers of vehicles who approach an intersection simultaneously has the right of way, in the situation in which one encounters the “Stop” sign and the other the “Give way” sign?

A the driver who encounters the “Give way” sign;
B the driver who is coming from the right;
C the driver who encounters the “Stop” sign.

Explanation

In an intersection directed by regulatory priority signs, two drivers of vehicles want to enter simultaneously, one encountering the “Stop” sign and the other the “Give way” sign, and their trajectories through the intersection will intersect. Both signs, both “Stop” and “Give way”, have the same meaning, more precisely of loss of priority.

Between the two drivers of vehicles, a situation of equality has been created, both drivers coming from roads where signs of loss of priority are installed, and their trajectories through the intersection will intersect. In this situation the rule of priority from the right will apply, in which case the vehicle that comes from the right side has priority.

The correct answer is: B
