Question 490 of 802

What is meant by the distance of 100 m for signalling the change of driving direction outside the urban area?

A the distance from the vehicle that is moving from behind;
B the distance travelled from the moment of signalling the intention to perform the maneuver and the place where the change of driving direction occurs;
C the distance from the place where the overtaking maneuver ends.

Explanation

The intention of the drivers of motor vehicles to change the direction of travel is signalled by activating the direction indicator lights, at least 50 meters in the urban area and 100 meters outside built-up areas before starting the maneuver. The distance of 100 meters required for signalling the change of driving direction outside the urban area represents the distance between the place where the intention to overtake is signalled and the place where the maneuver begins. That is, the distance travelled with the indicator functioning until the start of the maneuver.

The correct answer is: B
