The special warning signals with BLUE light, together with the sound ones, oblige you to give priority, and in order to give priority you must reduce the speed of travel and drive as close as possible to the edge of the road, in the direction of travel, more precisely as close as possible to the curb or to the shoulder on the right side.
If, in order to give priority, it is necessary to also stop, you must do so. A good example would be intersections in which it is necessary to stop in order to give priority to these motor vehicles with priority traffic regime.
It must be known that these motor vehicles with priority traffic regime are allowed to use the light signals without being accompanied by the sound ones, depending on the nature of the mission or on the traffic conditions, a situation in which the respective motor vehicle does not have priority traffic regime. But the opposite situation, to use only the sound signals without being accompanied by the light ones, is not allowed.
Answer B is incorrect, because the speed of travel must not be increased, but must be reduced, according to the articles in the updated road legislation found on this page, a little further below
Answer C is incorrect, because the immediate stopping, on the shoulder or, in its absence, as close as possible to the edge of the road or to the curb of the sidewalk, in the direction of travel, is mandatory at the special warning signals with RED light, together with the sound ones. In the present case the question refers to motor vehicles which have in operation the special blue-coloured light warning devices, together with the sound ones.
