The motor vehicles that belong to the ambulance service and those that belong to the special units of the Romanian Intelligence Service are authorized to use the special light warning signals of blue colour as well as the specific sound ones.
The special warning signals with BLUE light, together with the sound ones, require you to give priority, and in order to give priority you must reduce the travel speed and drive as close as possible to the edge of the road, in the direction of travel, more precisely as close as possible to the curb or to the shoulder on the right side.
Therefore, when, on a public road, you encounter motor vehicles belonging to the Ambulance Service or the Romanian Intelligence Service, which use light and sound warning means, you have the obligation to reduce the speed and to free the lane on which you are moving or to drive as close as possible to the curb or the shoulder on the right side.
