The drivers of motor vehicles and agricultural or forestry tractors are obliged to use also during the day the meeting lights (short beam) or the lights for daytime running “DRL”, when they drive on public roads. This obligation will be respected regardless of the category of the public road on which they drive.
We draw attention that this rule is valid only during the day, not also during the night. To understand this rule better we give the following example:
A driver of an agricultural or forestry tractor who drives during the day, in normal conditions, is obliged to activate either the meeting lights (meaning the short beam), or the lights for daytime running (DRL), as he considers, or he may even use them both at the same time. But if he drives during the night, regardless whether the road is or is not illuminated, the option to choose to activate the lights for daytime running (DRL) instead of the meeting lights (short beam) is NO longer valid and he is obliged to use the meeting lights (short beam) or the driving lights (long beam), depending on the degree of illumination of the public road on which he drives.
More information about the obligation to drive also during the day with the meeting lights or with the lights for daytime running activated you can find here - The obligation to use the meeting lights (short beam) or the DRL lights during the day.
