In the situation in which you travel in the area of a traffic accident investigated by the police, you must continue your movement carefully, respecting the indications of the traffic police officer. It must be known that if you encounter the sign “Accident” you have the obligation to travel with a maximum of 30 km/h in the urban area or 50 km/h outside built-up area.
In such situations you must travel carefully and with reduced speed, not with increased speed. The speed will be increased only at the signal of the traffic police officer who investigates the accident, through the brisk rotation of the arm.
Stopping at the accident site to see what happened is not recommended, as long as the police are already at the accident site, thus avoiding an even greater crowding of the area. But it must be known that any person who has knowledge about a traffic accident in which one or more persons were injured has the obligation to notify the police and to call the single emergency number 112.
