In the situation where you encounter a school bus that stops, whether or not it has the hazard warning lights on, you must drive with increased attention because children are unpredictable and may cross without making sure.

The road traffic legislation in Romania does not require stopping in this situation. If the driver of the school bus activates the hazard warning lights, they do so to warn the other participants in traffic that it constitutes a danger for the other participants in traffic, and from the point of view of preventive driving it is recommended the reduction of speed and the increase of attention.
