Question 300 of 554

In which of the following situations is the parking of motor vehicles allowed on public roads?

A when there are no other parking options available;
B when the remaining space allows the circulation of vehicles and pedestrians in both directions of travel;
C in the specially designated or established places and signalled accordingly.

Explanation

For answer  A

Parking on the public road IS NOT allowed on the grounds that there are no parking spaces available in the specially designated and signalled spaces, if the vehicle is waiting outside these spaces, it is considered that the vehicle is waiting, not parked, and it is subject to the rules regarding the prohibition of waiting. Therefore, answer A cannot be correct.

For answer  B

The existence of the space that allows the circulation of vehicles and pedestrians in both directions of travel does not guarantee compliance with the traffic rules regarding the parking of vehicles. Even if there remains enough space, parking must be carried out only in specially designated and signalled areas. Moreover, if the road administrator has decided to set up parking spaces on a certain road, he has previously analysed the situation and ensured that after the vehicles are parked, enough space will remain for the other road users.

For answer  C

Vehicles can be parked exclusively in the specially designated and signalled spaces, either through signs or markings. The road traffic legislation defines parking as the waiting of vehicles in these designated and properly marked spaces, and waiting outside them is not considered parking.

The correct answer is: C
