Question 417 of 554

When moving off with the motor vehicle, the following obligations fall to you:

A to avoid excessive revving of the engine;
B to avoid jerking the controls of the motor vehicle;
C to give priority to the vehicles that move on the road, regardless of the direction of travel.

Explanation

For answer  A

The road legislation does not expressly prohibit the excessive revving of the engine when moving off with the vehicle. However, if this revving is produced intentionally by the repeated acceleration of the engine, likely to disturb the persons located in the area of the public road, it falls under aggressive driving and is prohibited according to Article 54^1 paragraph (2) letter i) of OUG 195/2002 (posted below).

For answer  B

The road legislation does not provide an obligation or a prohibition related to jerking the controls of the vehicle. However, from the point of view of preventive conduct, jerking the controls of the vehicle is not recommended.

For answer  C

When you want to put the vehicle back into motion, you have the obligation to signal the maneuver in time, to give priority to all vehicles that move on the public road, regardless of their direction of travel, as well as the obligation to make sure that you can perform the maneuver without disturbing the traffic or without endangering the safety of the other traffic participants.

The correct answer is: C
