Explanation

For answer  A

The road traffic regulation prohibits the overtaking of vehicles in certain places and situations, among which are the following:

  • in the intersections with uncontrolled traffic;
  • on the pedestrian crossings signalled by signs and markings.

For answer  B

At a distance of 50 meters from the intersection, the overtaking maneuver is allowed, regardless whether the intersection is or is not controlled, provided that the road signalling in that place does not provide otherwise. This maneuver is prohibited in the intersections with uncontrolled traffic and a certain distance from the intersection from where the prohibition of this maneuver begins is not specified. Therefore, answer B cannot be considered correct.

Do not confuse the overtaking maneuver with the stopping maneuver. The stopping maneuver is prohibited in intersections, including those with traffic in a roundabout, as well as in the preselection area where continuous markings are applied, and in their absence, at a distance less than 25 meters from the corner of the intersection.

For answer  C

In the action area of the sign “Speed limit“ the overtaking maneuver is not prohibited. The overtaking maneuver can be performed, but provided the maximum speed required by the respective speed limit sign is not exceeded.

The correct answer is: A
