We must remember that reducing the travelling speed is mandatory when approaching another vehicle that is coming from the opposite direction (comes from the opposite direction towards the vehicle you are driving), from the distance of at least 200 meters from it. In this case, besides reducing the speed, you must also use the low beam lights.
Overtaking another vehicle that is moving in front of you is not prohibited for you at night.
When you drive at night, whether the road is illuminated or not, when approaching another vehicle that is moving in front of you (move in compliance with the traffic rules in the same direction, on the same lane), you are obliged that from the distance of at least 100 meters from it to use the low beam lights. If you are already driving with the high beam lights, you must switch them to the low beam lights so as not to disturb those in front. If you are driving without the high beam or low beam lights turned on, you must turn on the low beam lights to see better and to be better seen by the other road users.
We must make the difference between the following two situations that we encounter in the test questions but also in daily traffic:
The correct answer is: C
(2) At night, when two vehicles approach each other moving from opposite directions, the drivers of these are obliged that from a distance of at least 200 m to use the low beam lights together with reducing the speed. When the driver of a motor vehicle approaches a motor vehicle that is moving in front of him, he is obliged to use the low beam lights from a distance of at least 100 m.
