Explanation

For answer  A

Reducing the speed is not mandatory at all pedestrian crossings! The speed will be reduced mandatorily down to maximum 30 km/h in the urban area, or 50 km/h outside built-up areas, at pedestrian crossings not controlled by traffic lights, signalled through signs and markings, when the public road has at most one lane per direction, and the pedestrians on the sidewalk, in the immediate proximity of the carriageway, intend to engage in crossing.

Considering that the traffic legislation clearly specifies which pedestrian crossings are subject to this obligation, answer A cannot be considered correct because it refers to all types of pedestrian crossings signalled through signs and markings, also including those that have more than one lane on each direction, where this obligation does not apply.

For answer  B

In the area of action of the “Children” sign, you are obliged to drive at a speed not exceeding 30 km/h in the urban area or 50 km/h outside built-up areas in the time interval 7:00 - 22:00.

The “Children” sign is installed near places frequented by children (schools, kindergartens, playgrounds, parks, etc.) where there is a possibility that they may appear unexpectedly on the carriageway.

For answer  C

When passing by trolleybuses or buses stopped in the station, whether these are on your direction of travel or on the opposite direction, the traffic legislation does NOT oblige you to reduce the travel speed. However, from the point of view of preventive driving, it would be advisable, in more dangerous situations, to reduce the travel speed.

This situation in answer C must not be confused with the situation in which a bus signals the intention to exit from a station provided with a bay and the driver of the vehicle travelling on the lane next to the shoulder or curb is obliged to reduce the speed and, if necessary, to stop to allow it to re-enter the traffic.
