If you have been involved in a traffic accident with a wild animal you must stop, turn on the hazard warning lights and secure the accident scene (which involves, among other things, installing the reflective triangles), in order not to endanger the safety of the other road users. If the motor vehicle cannot be moved outside the carriageway, you have the obligation to install the reflective triangles in front of and behind the motor vehicle, at at least 30 meters, so that the other road users observe you in time.
Even if your vehicle can be put back into circulation, this does not mean that you can simply leave the scene. Leaving the animal on the carriageway can endanger the safety of other road users. In such situations, you must call 112 immediately and report the accident. The authorities will be able to send authorized personnel, either to provide help to the animal or to clear the carriageway safely.
Considering that you have been involved in a traffic accident, you are obliged to present yourself at the police unit in whose area the accident occurred within at most 24 hours, for the drafting of the finding documents. In this case the repair of the damaged motor vehicle will be carried out based on the authorization issued by the traffic police.
