The transportation of the victims to the hospital can be carried out with an ambulance specially equipped for this purpose, usually accompanied by a doctor. It does not constitute an offence to leave the place of the accident when the driver of the vehicle, in the absence of other means of transport, transports himself the injured persons to the nearest medical unit able to provide the necessary medical assistance and at which he will declare his personal identification data and the registration or record number of the driven vehicle, the driver being obliged to return immediately to the place of the accident.
In the case of the very serious injury of a person in a traffic accident you are obliged to notify the police immediately, to not modify or erase the traces of the accident and to not leave the place of the act. And after these, as a first measure, first aid must be provided to this person, until the arrival of the ambulance.
