If the injured person does not breathe but has a pulse, start mouth-to-mouth artificial respiration immediately. 

Cardio-respiratory resuscitation is performed only when the victim is in cardio-respiratory arrest (The victim does not breathe and has no pulse).

For artificial respiration (mouth-to-mouth) proceed as follows:

• place the victim's head in extension (lifted “backwards”);
• press the victim's nose between the index finger and the thumb of your hand which was previously placed on the injured person's forehead;
• lift the victim's chin with 2-3 fingers;                 
• seal your mouth tightly on the victim's mouth and blow air into the airways;
• after each insufflation lift your mouth from the victim's mouth and allow him to breathe;
• resume a new insufflation after the chest has returned to the initial position.
