Question 11 of 485

Which among the following factors represent the basis of the preventive conduct?

A knowledge of the traffic rules and of the rules for driving the bus;
B the ability to be polite and disciplined in road traffic;
C compliance with the legal health standards.

Explanation

For answers  A  and  B

Among the three answer choices, the ones that represent the basis of the preventive conduct are: “knowledge of the traffic rules and of the rules for driving the motor vehicle” and “the ability to be polite and disciplined in road traffic”.

For answer  C

If the state of health does not comply with the legal health standards, it can no longer be a matter of preventive conduct; in this case driving is no longer possible at all until the health problems are resolved, if they can be resolved.

Preventive driving (preventive conduct) - represents the behavior of the driver characterized by the following essential features:

  • anticipating situations that may become dangerous (anticipating the mistakes of participants in traffic), which presupposes knowing and recognizing in a thorough and solid way the particularities of the other participants;
  • avoiding accidents that are about to occur or avoiding engaging in accidents that have occurred;
  • choosing the best option to get out with minimum consequences from an accident that could not be avoided, or correcting a wrong decision that may reduce the consequences of an accident;
  • adapting the manner of travel to road conditions, traffic, and unfavorable weather conditions.

In conclusion, preventive conduct means road behavior that ensures the prevention of accidents through anticipating and avoiding the incorrect actions of road partners, as well as adapting the travel speed to the specific weather–road conditions. Preventive conduct ensures the safety and smoothness of travel on public roads.

  1. theoretical and practical knowledge;
  2. vigilance;
  3. foresight;
