In the area of action of the sign “Children”, you are obliged to drive with a speed that shall not exceed 30 km/h in the urban area between 0700 – 2200, regardless of whether children are or are not moving through that area.
When driving on bridges or through tram stations, reducing speed is not mandatory, but in some situations it is recommended, from a preventive point of view, to reduce the travelling speed.

Art. 123. – The driver of the vehicle is obliged to drive with a speed that shall not exceed 30 km/h in the urban area, or 50 km/h outside the urban area, in the following situations:
a) when passing through intersections with undirected traffic;
b) in particularly dangerous curves signalled as such or in which visibility is less than 50 m;
d) when passing by organized groups, military columns or corteges, regardless of whether they are moving or waiting on the carriageway of roads with a single lane per direction;
e) when passing by animals that are being guided on the carriageway or on the shoulder;
f) when the carriageway is covered with black ice, ice, compacted snow, slush or wet cobblestone;
g) on uneven roads, signalled as such;
h) in the area of action of the warning sign “Children” between 0700 – 2200 as well as of the sign “Accident”;
i) at pedestrian crossings without traffic lights, signalled by signs and markings, when the public road has at most one lane per direction, and the pedestrians on the pavement, in the immediate vicinity of the carriageway, intend to start crossing;
j) when changing the direction of travel through turns;
k) when visibility is under 100 m in conditions of fog, torrential rain, heavy snowfall.
