Explanation

In the event of a fracture, provisional immobilization of it is required with the help of splints, which must be long enough to fix both the joint above and the one below the broken bone. In the event of a cervical fracture, immobilize the neck with a rolled towel, with a diameter of approximately 10 cm, loosely tightened around the neck, taking care that the tie does not hinder breathing, the victim will be placed on a hard stretcher (board, door), sufficiently long and wide, in such a way that the body does not bend or move sideways.

Sterilization is required in the event of a wound. A fracture can be open (with a wound) or closed (without a wound), therefore sterilization and dressing is required only in the event of an open fracture, not for any type of fracture.

The application of a tourniquet, only when the severity of the bleeding endangers the life of the victim and when the bleeding cannot be stopped by other means. The tourniquet is always placed above the wound, between the wound and the body, but without touching the wound.
