The use of dipped-beam headlights during the daytime is mandatory for:
Although the road traffic legislation has been updated and at this moment it is mandatory that when driving during the daytime, on all categories of public road, driving must be done having in operation the dipped-beam headlights (the short beam) or the daytime running lights (DRL), the answer to this question remains correct and in accordance with the legislation.
To understand this rule better we give the following example: A driver of a motor vehicle drives during the daytime, in normal conditions, in which case the driver has the obligation to activate either the dipped-beam headlights (that is the short beam), or the daytime running lights (DRL), as the driver considers, or may even use both at the same time. However, if the driver tows other vehicles, including trailers, or if the driver transports goods or dangerous products, the option to choose to activate the daytime running lights (DRL) instead of the dipped-beam headlights (the short beam) IS NOT valid anymore because the road traffic legislation provides that in this case it is mandatory to use the dipped-beam headlights (the short beam), without leaving the option to use the daytime running lights (DRL) instead of the dipped-beam headlights.
You can find more information about the obligation to drive also during the daytime with the dipped-beam headlights or with the daytime running lights in operation here - The obligation to use the dipped-beam headlights (the short beam) or the DRL lights during the daytime.
