Question 511 of 533

How is it good to proceed when, travelling behind a cyclist, you find that he wishes to change the direction of travel?

A you signal audibly the intention to overtake him;
B you provide him with conditions for performing the maneuver;
C you have no obligation, since he is a very slow vehicle.

Explanation

For answer  A

The horn may be used only from a distance of at least 25 meters from those to whom it is addressed, and in this case you are too close to these cyclists and you are not allowed to honk at them, except when honking to avoid an immediate danger.

For answer  B

When you travel behind a cyclist and find that he intends to change the direction of travel, you must provide him with conditions for completing the maneuver. And after he has completed the maneuver, you may engage in overtaking only if there are optimal conditions for performing the maneuver in safety conditions.

For answer  C

The road legislation provides the same traffic rules for all drivers of vehicles, including for drivers of bicycles, priority not being established according to the type or speed of travel of the vehicle.

The correct answer is: B
